Vals Burgers in Hayward

Cash only. Cute, little old school joint. Great quality of food. The burgers taste so fresh and the steak fries have great flavor. Good, hearty servings. The prices aren't amazing but I feel they were worth it.

First of all: they do not serve beer. I am not sure why, as it would have been absolutely perfect with the food. Also they do not accept credit cards! Luckily I had some cash on me. The burgers were extremely good tasting, my compliments to the grill master! In fact, presentation should be improved in my opinion, as they didn't *look* special when served. Also, they honor medium rare, but the server completely mixed them up at the table. This lead me to discover my child likes medium rare, but that one was for me, and it looked beautiful. Last note - come on, the boss at the register should get a stool instead of slouching on the table, he would look more professional.

The world wouldn't be the same without this great dinner from decades of the past. This is one of if not the best burgers ever. If you are extremely hungry have a papa burger on a roll! Everything is great at Val's.meatyou are

I love Vals. Best local burger with a caring friendly staff and efficient service even when they’re busy. If you love burgers and fries with an old fashioned flair, this is the place for you.

I tried this spot in the past with my friend and I am addicted since then. I loved the great atmosphere and delightful food and drinks. Highly recommended.

Came here for the first time. Fast friendly service.. My wife got the eggs and ham breakfast. Which was your typical eggs and ham. I came for the mama burger. Which was thick and juicy, they definitely use high quality meat here. You'll see it in the price you pay. Just needed a bit more favor for my taste. The onion rings was really crispy and were fantastic. Now let's talk about the place itself. I just love the look it's cute small and you can tell it has a lot of history. It's nice to come to these local places where they care about the quality of food they service. If you come here for a cheap meal this place is not for you. I don't mind the price if you're getting a great meal. I will definitely be back!

I love this hidden treasure! My go to for a yummy treat. Burgers are always cooked to perfection & the shakes are delicious as well. Staff is super friendly. The parking lot is small but you can find parking on the street. Will definitely be coming back soon!

Great place to be when your looking for food. Haven't been there for years now, but I still remember that the community there were great, the staff were very nice, and the food there was delicious. How can I forget such restaurants? If you are looking to get food at Castro Valley, this is the go to place! Though the line takes a little bit but its totally worth it!

The experience here is old fashioned perfection. Friendly service. Real beef patties. Tons of fries and onion rings. Bring at least 4 people as it is hard to eat that much in sides.
